About Us

3 Oaks Vineyard is located just outside of Clovis, California, and easily accessible from Hwy. 168.

We are a smaller family owned and run farm that offers sustainably grown premium wine grapes for the home winemaker, as well as the equipment and knowledge to help you in making your own wine.

If you just want to enjoy the serenity of the vineyard, we offer the perfect venue for smaller, more intimate weddings and receptions, reunions, parties or get togethers for up to 150 people.

We invite you to give us a call. Steve loves nothing more than to share his passion for growing grapes and wine making. Be warned....you may not want to leave. It truly is “An Oasis In The City”.

UPDATE for 3 Oaks Vineyard

Hi to all our friends.

We are so sorry for our absence; but it has been for a great reason - 3 OAKS is doing great, thanks to you, we are busy busy busy!

As for 3 OAKS STUDIO - we have expanded to offer more convenience to you and are blessed to have a great team to help you when we personally aren't in the shops.

As for the VINEYARD -  as most of you probably already know; with the drought, we are not hosting events for the 2016 season.   We have enjoyed our five years of bringing together families but with the lack of plentiful water and time we are not planning any more events.  That doesn't mean that we aren't looking toward the future------

We are thinking about offering an Exclusive Membership Club where the members could come out and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Vineyard while sipping our wine that we will share with only those members.   Drop us a line and tell us if this idea intrigues you!

As for our WINE - the 2015 vintage is the best yet and is rivaling wines sold in the $40-50/btl range. Each and every one of them shows great structure, flavor, and aromas already, and they are only month old babies.

As for WINE FOR SALE - we are starting to look for a location in Clovis to hopefully start selling wine with the 2016 vintage, so say a prayer for us.

We know it has been frustrating for those who enjoy our wines, but it is such an involved and expensive process that we wanted to make sure our wines were top quality before we made the substantial investment.  With the 2015, we believe we are there, and we can repeat that quality year after year.

Please come visit us at 481 Pollasky during the OLD TOWN CLOVIS WINE WALK on 3 October 2015, and taste a couple of mature wines, along with just a taste of the 2015 vintage.

We have truly been Blessed, and thank you all

This year's vintage was beautiful but small. This photo of Malbec berries shows their beauty as we are expecting another jump in wine quality. Last year we saw a jump in quality of all varieties, and it appears the quality has jumped again.

Last year's Petit Syrah wine is fruit forward that smoothly ends with a mineral chalkiness expressing the "terrior" (French for the environment the grapes growing within), reminding me of French wine. The initial taste of this years Petit Syrah Zinfandel (PZ Blend) blend is reminiscent of a deep flavored "amarone" Italian style wine.
Needless to say, we are looking forward to popping a cork on a bottle of PZ Blend in two years.

We now are also enjoying all natural, no preservative, locally & naturally fermented vinegars (Malbec, Cabernet, Grenache) - sooo good.

Want to make your own all natural wine or vinegar? Give us a call!

And then after planting the grapes, we needed a Barn.
So there it lay, all ready to be built – uggh.
Five months and a lot of hard work,
the Barn was complete,
on the outside.

As those who have seen,
we have continued to make improvements
to ensure 3 Oaks Vineyard exhibits the highest of
quality and authenticity.
Because that’s just the way we are,
always seeing what can be,
and working to make better happen.

The next step was the most exciting, planting the grape vines.
There was a large volunteer group that came out to help, and has been out since, to watch the growth and progress.

As with everything, either it grows or withers, so we have chosen to continue to grow the authenticity we offer; but we will never forget where we started.

After all, it is the strength of the roots that determine the size and beauty of the vine.

We have come a long way since early 2007, but we aren't done yet. We are looking forward to offering another unique experience at 3 Oaks Vineyard - making your own wine.

"From vine to the bottle - it's all you".

As we progress through the growing season, we will post our activities and then show you, step-by-step, wine making experience for the "Plank Holders".

As we have progressed from an Almond Orchard to clearing the land, we followed our Vision, that at times was modified, but always focused on providing an "experience" that warmed the soul,  that was based in the genuine authenticity and simplistic beauty. As we move into the future, this core view will always be part and parcel of 3 Oaks endeavors.

The time is coming for the vines to wake up from their winter sleep and push up the new stems and flowers that will become this year’s harvest.
As nature starts anew, we are starting a new opportunity
3 Oaks Vintner Club
It is a membership only club that gives the novice to expert wine lover the opportunity to drink wine they made using our premium quality grapes, equipment, and experience.
To start the club off, we are blessed to have three volunteer couples to be the first to experience making their own wine with this years’ harvest in preparation for others to follow. Next year, they will be hanging out watching others make wine while sipping a glass of their wine and wearing a "3 Oaks Vintners Club" shirt; so, when you see them, introduce yourself to the
original Plank Holders of the 3 Oaks Vintner Club
